What the screen showed.
From cold scan to trailing stop.
Signal fires.
Aegus's gmgn/kol engine ingests a new buy from wallet feibo03, a tracked KOL. Token: $PANDAELON, mint 4bESPTgz…9bpump. First appearance in the signals table.
narrative: kol:feibo03 · smart count: 1 · raw score: 41.0
The Institute grades it.
The Institute knowledge graph runs the row against its factor model (nansen, age, scans, creator risk, narrative heat, confluence, volume sustain, buy pressure, holder organic). KOL feibo03 has positive historical edge — the signal clears entry. Final grade: B. Queued.
Not grade A. The Institute doesn't only enter on perfect signals — it sizes proportional to confidence.
Paper entry.
12 seconds after the signal, the entry engine takes a 0.0044 SOL position at $2.538e-6. Paper mode — no real execution, but every risk gate (MC floor, RugCheck mint/freeze, top10 holder concentration, LunarCrush social heat, KOL credibility) passes.

The run.
The position rides the KOL's follow-on buys. Price climbs through 2x, 5x, 10x. At each milestone, the Institute raises the trailing stop — 15% trail once 15x hits. Peak touched: $5.293e-5, which is 20.85x the entry.
Trailing stop fires.
Price retraces past the 15% trail from peak. Exit fires automatically at tp 15. Final realized PnL: +1,985.7%. Entire round trip: 2 minutes 18 seconds.
Exit wasn't the peak — the trailing stop is designed to give back some gain in exchange for letting winners run longer. On average, that discipline is net positive.
What this case study proves — and what it doesn't.
- Proves: the full pipeline works end-to-end — source engine → Institute grading → entry gate → trailing exit — on a real token with real on-chain pricing, with every step logged in the database.
- Doesn't prove: this is typical. Paper scorecard WR hovers 35-45%. Most calls don't 20x. This trade is one of a few outliers pulled intentionally to narrate the pipeline — the public scorecard shows the full distribution, including losers.
- Live execution is still gated. PATH only flips to real capital when the funding bar holds stable on both 24h and 72h windows for 48h. Until then every call is paper-scored. Transparency over theatre.
